This whole class, small group, or center game developed by Laura Stegmann is similar to the popular children's game "Guess Who". This game could be used during a geometry unit or as review of previously learned material. During this game, students practice their understanding of different attributes of two dimentional (2-D) shapes using vocabulary such as parallel, perpendicular, acute, right, obtuse, reflectional symmetry, and rotational symmetry. Students classify shapes into categories that match riddles given by the teacher or another group member. Students eliminate shapes based on clues given and should all reach the same concluding shape by the final clue read. Blank riddle cards are included in this package as well. The creator has included ideas for differentiation for both lower level learners and gifted learners in your class.
