Instructional Lesson
This instructional lesson comes in 3 formats for easy delivery. You can share this lesson with your students as a PowerPoint, as Google Slides, or as a Video.

In class I shared the video first to the whole class after reading the book "If You Were a Polygon" aloud to the class. Then together with our notes in front of us I re-delieved the lesson whole group using Google Slides.

If you are short on time, you can assign the Instructional Video using the Video Link (check Google Classroom sharing settings) provided directly to your students using Google Classroom. Students login to their Google Classroom account and watch the video with their notes.

Student Handout
The handout included is 2 pages and follows along with the instructional lesson. Students are more engaged in the lesson as they follow along with the teacher and helps students with future note taking skills.

BOOM Digital Task Cards
After the instructional lesson students can practice independently or as a small group with a set of self-checking digital task cards hosted at Boom Learning . Students will practice their ability to identify shapes that are and are not polygons. Students can practice these cards over and over. (I like to sit with struggling students and talk through each card once together, and then they can do the set on their own.)

Google Form Assessment
10 question self-grading Google Form assessment to share with your students using Google Classroom. Students will analyze each shape shown to determine if the shape is a polygon. Quick No-Prep assessment aligned to 3rd grade standards.
