Product Description

Hey math teachers, are you looking for a different + creative way to partner up your students? This free download includes one PDF version of, 'Polygon Partners.' You can use polygon partners to easily pair up your students for a partner activity.

How do I set up polygon partners?

In order to set up your polygon partners, you will tell the students to find a 'square partner.' Once the whole room is partnered up, they will write their partner's name under the square shape. If you have an odd grouping of students, you can have one student write 'you pick' for that shape and they can pick which group that want to join when that shape is selected. Once you are finished with the square partners, you can move on to the next shape.

How do I use polygon partners?

In order to use polygon partners, you will simply tell students to, "find your octagon partner." They check their sheet and find their partner. I typically have students place this paper right on the inside of their binders/notebooks for quick access.

When do you use polygon partners?

I really like to use polygon partners when I have a substitute teacher. I just leave a note with my sub, "have student work with their trapezoid partner." I also like to use polygon partners when I am need students find partners quickly.
