This is a fun center or whole class activity to use when your students are reviewing polygon attributes and learning about the hierarchy of shapes. This "resume" prompts students, who are assigned a type of polygon, to fill out information about their attributes and their previous experience. All of the shapes will by vying for a specific job (the teacher can announce the job before or after the students fill out the resumes). You can play this with many different jobs so students are all able to be the best candidate.
After students fill out their resumes, the job application begin and candidates get narrowed down based on their attributes. This will help students see how closely some polygons can be related and which attributes they do and do not share.
Students will get creative with their polygons' names, emails, addresses, and previous work experience. This is a fun and quick polygon activity for older students!
