This scavenger hunt will get your students up and moving around the room while giving them practice identifying polygons. You can have your students work individually or with partners to complete this activity. Students start at any card, identify the figure, then search for the card with their answer. Students record the letter of the card with the answer and identify the new figure.
This file has twelve cards, a student recording sheet with directions, and an answer key. This scavenger hunt works well as a small group station and as a whole group activity.
The figures used are: triangle, trapezoid, rhombus, rectangle, pentagon, hexagon, heptagon, octagon, nonagon, decagon, not a polygon-open, and not a polygon-rounded.
