Discover the characteristics of triangles, quadrilaterals, and hexagons with this set of nine interactive fill-in sheets.
Understanding the distinctions between different polygons is an important concept in high school geometry. These handouts are designed to help students see properties and better understand vocabulary terms. The following polygons are included: equilateral triangle, isosceles triangle, scalene triangle, parallelogram, rectangle, rhombus, square, trapezoid, and regular hexagon.
The sheets cover the following concepts:
Interior angle measures
Identifying types of polygons on a coordinate grid
Each sheet asks students to draw the polygons, along with lines of symmetry, angle bisectors, medians, and/or diagonals. Students decide if statements are truths or lies. Lastly, students decide if a series of ordered pairs creates a certain type of polygon.
Please see the PREVIEW.
Ideas for using these sheets:
The eight sheets can be made into a booklet that students complete as a project.
Students can work together to complete each polygon in math center format.
Interactive Notes or Homework:
Students complete sheets to practice vocabulary and to learn properties.
