    Description

Are you looking for engaging digital notebooks for teaching geometry to grades 3, 4, and 5? This digital notebook geometry bundle consists of THREE separate interactive digital notebooks for Google Slides®. With this bundle, your students can practice -

    • polygons (triangle, quadrilateral, pentagon, hexagon, octagon, decagon)
    • quadrilaterals (parallelogram, rectangle, square, rhombus, kite, trapezoid)
    • types of triangles (equilateral, isosceles, scalene, right, acute, obtuse).

Please see each individual resource preview for a complete list of tasks for each digital notebook.

Using geometry vocabulary is necessary for being able to describe two-dimensional shapes as well as to sort and classify them by attributes. Students need exposure and effective practice to understand this sometimes overwhelming vocabulary. These Google Slides®' resources provide practice with quadrilaterals, triangles, and polygons.

    SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS

    • The INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE slide has detailed directions on working with the Interactive Digital Notebook.
    • All the slides provide instructions, while the SPEAKER NOTES section of each slide provides more detailed instructions.

    • To view the videos, access to YouTube is necessary. However, students view the video through video.link for a kid-friendly viewing of YouTube videos (removes comments, related videos, etc.). If you do not have access to YouTube, I offer an alternate link to share with students. Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Understand that shapes in different categories (e.g., rhombuses, rectangles, and others) may share attributes (e.g., having four sides), and that the shared attributes can define a larger category (e.g., quadrilaterals). Recognize rhombuses, rectangles, and squares as examples of quadrilaterals, and draw examples of quadrilaterals that do not belong to any of these subcategories.
