This set includes four fun polygon activities as well as reference posters and a reference chart that describe different types of polygons, 2D shapes, and their attributes.

These polygons task cards and activities are versatile and make great math scoots, small group activities, math centers, and quick assessments, and help develop higher-order, critical thinking skills!

All of the activities included in this product are low prep and super easy to implement. I suggest copying the polygons posters and task cards on cardstock and then laminating them for durability and long-lasting use. The polygons reference page is perfectly sized for inserting into a student math journal.

All you need to do is decide what will work best for your students, and your class will be ready to rock-n-roll with polygons and 2D shapes!

The activities included in this product align with the following second-grade and third-grade TEKS:

TEKS 2.8A - create two-dimensional shapes based on given attributes, including number of sides and vertices

TEKS 2.8C - use attributes to recognize rhombuses, parallelograms, trapezoids, rectangles, and squares as examples of quadrilaterals and draw examples of quadrilaterals that do not belong to any of these subcategories

TEKS 3.6B - use attributes to recognize rhombuses, parallelograms, trapezoids, rectangles, and squares as examples of quadrilaterals and draw examples of quadrilaterals that do not belong to any of these subcategories
