Polynomials Operations Gone Fishin' Game
This is a super fun PowerPoint game to practice operations with polynomials. Students can either aim for the fish with a Koosh Ball (if playing with a Smart Board), or come up to the computer to select a fish. The fish really do swim around the screen, so it's a lot of fun and the kids love it. The types of problems are as follows:
Red Fish - Classifying Polynomials
Yellow Fish - Adding and Subtracting Polynomials
Green Fish - Multiplying Monomial x Polynomial, Binomial x Binomial (FOIL), and Binomial x Trinomial
Blue Fish - Dividing a Polynomial by a Monomial
There are 44 total problems, with 11 of each kind. Please see the preview for sample images of the types of problems. Once a problem is selected, students write it down on their recording sheet. Once you click "Answer", they can check their answer.
