Use this puzzle as a quick, 10-15 minute activity to have students practice simplifying polynomials by combining like terms.
There are 12 pieces to the puzzle. Simplify a polynomial, and then match it to its simplified form by lining up those edges together. If a polynomial doesn’t have a match, that means it is an edge piece.
This file contains the answer key to verify that all pieces are in the correct places.
There is a ONE PAGE version which contains all 12 pieces. You can print one page out for each student in black and white and have them cut the pieces apart themselves and assemble the puzzle.
The next FOUR PAGES are to be printed on colored paper, if you want a color version. Each page contains 4 identical copies of each of 3 of the pieces. By printing all four pages, you will be able to create 4 puzzles.
