Pom-Pom Launchers Quick STEM Challenge

A STEM easy prep quick activity is the perfect way to add science and engineering to your classroom! This challenge features the task of creating a blaster for pom-poms using some simple supplies you probably already have. My students loved this so much!

What is the challenge?

Students will design and build a catapulting-type device that will launch pom-poms. Add your own idea of decorative requirements. Holidays decorations are always fun- try creating a blaster that will propel jelly-beans, small pumpkins, or conversation hearts.

What is your prep?

Supplies needed in addition to this package include pom-poms, tape, straws, craft sticks, rubber bands, paper clips, index cards, foam cups, and a container for each group’s supplies.
