These are problem-based/inquiry lessons that ask students at the middle school level to look into future potential problems as our society ages and progresses. One of the lessons - Ageless Aging deals with the increasing lifespans of humans and the effects these will have on our lives socially, emotionally, politically, and even environmentally. It reexamines our idea of social security, etc.
The second lesson in this series deals with "smart pills" that are being developed to help Alzheimer's patients and/or children with ADHD issues and more. Recently these pill have been reported as being abused. Thoughts are that these pills can be used in regular people to boost intelligence. Potential problems from these "smart pills" are examined.
