I made another one of my favorites: A sight word sentence game! I have found that these work great in the classroom and at home, especially with reluctant readers. Students who are intimidated by a long book feel successful reading the short sentences in these games.
This game includes:
* An instruction sheet in case you send it as homework
* 2 pages of sight word sentences for each grade level (3 for kindergarten)
* 1 EDITABLE page of cards for each grade level so you can add your own sentences (or ANY material, really)
* A full-color recording/response sheet to laminate
This product addresses the following Common Core Standards* for kindergarten, first, second, and third:
RF.K.1 & RF.1.1 Demonstrate understanding of the organization and basic features of print.
RF.K.3, RF.1.3, RF.2.3, & RF.3.3 Know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words.
RF.K.4, RF.1.4, RF.2.4, & RF.3.4 Read emergent-reader texts with purpose and understanding.
