This popcorn/movie-themed packet was made to use for a quick screening, a review of previous goals, or new goal-writing purposes. It is intended to use with readers or for non-readers to be read to. There are activities included that can be used with Pre-K-5th grade, depending on the skill level of your students and modifications/adaptations to the material. Please note, this packet is intended for readers, or for non-readers to be read to. I love to use this at the beginning of the school year to see where students are, and again at the end along with real popcorn for a Speech party, to see how far the students have come! The packet includes:
•12 Past and Present Irregular Verb Cards (6 pairs) and a Sorting Page-sort the irregular verbs into past and present, play as a matching game, or use as flashcards
•Syllables Sorting Page and 12 syllable cards-sort the words into 1, 2, or 3 syllable piles
•What Question Should You Ask-(11 cards and a cover card)-form an appropriate question to a quick scenario
•Regular and Irregular Plural Cards (18 cards, 9 pairs)-Match the singular and plural cards or use as flash cards.
•Letter Recognition Cards (11 cards and a cover)-Name the letter shown
•Number Recognition Cards (11 cards and a cover)-Name the number shown
•Color Recognition Cards (11 cards and a cover)-Name the color shown
•Rhyme Time Cards (11 cards and a cover)-Name a word that rhymes with the word shown
•Idioms-(11 cards and a cover card.)-Explain what the idioms mean
•Homonyms-(10 cards (5 pairs), 1 blank card, and a cover card)-Use as flash cards or as a matching game.
•What Doesn’t Belong- (11 cards and a cover card)-Identify which word out of four doesn’t belong with the others; Can the student explain why?
•Name That Category-(11 cards and a cover card)-Read the words and name the category they belong to (or words can be read to the student)
•Synonyms- (5 pairs, 1 blank card, and a cover card)-Use as flash cards or a matching game

•Complete Sentences vs. Fragment Worksheet-(10 Questions)-Tell or write whether the sentences are complete or fragments (incomplete)
•Popcorn Pronouns Worksheet-(10 Questions)-Replace the underlined name in the sentence with a correct pronoun from the choices given)
•Popcorn Analogies-(5 cards and a cover card)-Complete the popcorn/movie themed analogies.
•Object Functions- (5 pairs, one blank card, and a cover card)-Provide the function for the objects. Use as flash cards or play a matching game.
•Popcorn Picture Pages-Print, cut-out, and laminate to use with following direction and preposition activities
•Following Directions Sheet-(10 directions-5 one-step, 5 two-step)-Use with the popcorn pictures to follow the directions given, or make up directions of your own

•A quick-reference answer sheet-Use to mark how many of each item were answered correctly. I use this sheet to determine which concepts have been mastered, which are approaching efficiency, or which concepts should be addressed in therapy.
