Students will practice identifying and reading letters of the alphabet with this fun hands-on activity.
Use this activity in your small guided reading group, or place it in your literacy centers for independent practice.
How To Prep:
Print, laminate (optional), and cut all cards.
How To Play:
Place all of the popcorn words POP! cards into a small container. Students will take turns pulling a card and reading the word out loud. If the student can successfully read the word, they get to keep the card and the next player goes. If the student is not able to read the word, they may get help reading the word from the other players. Watch out for those “POP!” cards. If a player pulls a “POP!” card, the must place all of their cards back into the container. The player with the most cards at the end of the game is the winner!
