Popping into Volume is an interactive lesson that can help students relate volume to the real world. Students will have to choose which popcorn box they would want during a movie, based on observation first. Students will get to use rulers and work with their neighbor to determine the best selection for the popcorn box.
This resource is a fun way to introduce volume. It is a hands on activity that can be completed in groups or individual.
Aligned with the Common Core Standards. Great for 5th grade students just learning volume.
