Painting Poppies Visual Art project is a great way for students to visually respond to Remembrance Day or Memorial Day or any holiday that thanks veterans for having fought for our freedom. This product includes a visual and text Step-By-Step Powerpoint presentation to allow for a demonstration in your classroom, the visual step-by-step handout, and two step-by-step drawing sheets for how to draw 2 different styles of poppies to allow all your students to be successful.
I have done this project with students in grades 2 to 7 successfully. Students draw and paint at their own pace and I really cannot tell the different between some of my grade 2's work and some of my grade 7's work. This product breaks down the steps in order to allow all students to be successful
How to Use:
Print off the lesson plan and student handouts. You can photocopy the student handouts double-sided and give the handouts to the students during the power point lesson. The Power Point allows me to demonstrate how to paint to your students for you- or you can use the Power Point for yourself if you wish to do the demonstration for your students.
Photocopy the handouts, put out all the materials for students, and play the powerpoint slide by slide as the students work for a great step by step demonstration! You do not need any art skills to do this lesson, I am the art teacher for you! However I think you should also make one, if your students can do it, so can you!
