This "Populism and The Ideal Republic " Activity includes:
1) A rundown of questions about the goals of the Populist movement in the United States. Students will be able to read the Ideal Republic speech and see what Bryan wanted the US to become. They will then engage with two political cartoons about the role the gold standard played on rural Americans. Students will have access to read the Populist Party Platform and then write their own mission statement for the Party.
