This is a template to use with the Janet Allen portable word wall strategy.
I use it several ways:
Beginning of a unit - have students glue this into their notebooks and add words daily as you introduce them.
End of the unit - review for a test, have students write as many words as they can remember from the unit then have them share and review as they call out the words.
High needs students (ESE, ESOL, CARPD) - have them write the words they remember then review words they miss. Allow them to use this on the test as a word bank.
Extension - make it a competition to see who can come up with the most words, have students illustrate their words.
