Product Description

Objective:

In 1985 Sharbat Gula of the Pashtun tribe in Afghanistan had her photo taken and used on the cover of National Geographic magazine. For 17 years no one knew her name until original photographer Steve McCurry returned 17 years later to solve the identity of the “Afghan Girl”. Draw the Afghan girl using only 10 lines maximum. Carefully plan out the sequence/order you put down the lines. You may practice on scrap paper till you are comfortable. Once complete, outline with a dark black pencil crayon or Sharpie and then carefully color replicating the shading and tones/values seen in the original. When finished mount on a green mat and turn in with your completed rubric for assessment.
