This is a set of 4 position time graphs and related questions. ACT and many Science Standards require reading and extracting data from graphs. These are used to familiarize students with the symbols and vocabulary of motion in 1-dimension. Understanding motion is fundamental in the study of Physics. These worksheets help the students to visualize position, displacement, distance, velocity, and time intervals prior to the introduction of Kinematic Equations. Another helpful activity is to bring a class outside to physically "walk the motions described in the graphs.
This set includes 2 simpler graphs with 5 discrete motions and 2 more complicated graphs, all involving constant velocities.
