Great literacy center activity for Kindergarten students that gives them practice using positions words such as above,
below, beside, in front, next to, and behind by looking at a picture of a pumpkin and owl and deciding where the owl is in relation to the pumpkin. Students have to look at the picture of the owl and pumpkin and then sort the picture into the different categories. Students then record their answers on the recording sheet and check it with the answer key or you can collect their sheet to check/grade! This activity comes with a student recording sheet that has the words and pictures which is great for your emergent/non-readers and a teacher or student answer sheet. Students can check their own work! Print on card stock, laminate, and place at a center! Also great for lower level first graders or ESE students.
