This emergent reader describes the relative location of a little monster by using positional words like above, under, between, near and far. There are three versions of this emergent-reader to meet the needs of different students. Each version requires students to engage with the text and the positional words differently. The sight words that appear in all of the versions are a, in, the, little, did, go, is & from.
The books can be easily copied (single or double sided) and stapled for student use or a single copy could be printed and read aloud to a small group or a whole group.
