Positive affirmations are statements to help overcome negative thoughts. Some research suggests that the use of positive affirmations can help those struggling with depression and/or low self-esteem. Furthermore, research also shows that journaling helps to reduce stress, make one feel more optimistic about things and improve one's overall feeling about their self and life.
This workbook will help students begin their journaling process to think about and focus on the things they like about themselves. Journaling can be completed anytime during the school day. Some research says that journaling 1-3 times per week is more beneficial than daily journaling. This workbook (St. Patrick's Day themed) will allow students to free write what they like about themselves. (Example: "I am lucky because I have friends.")
