Description

I was caught being . . . GOOD! Positive Behavior Awards for the classroom!

As kids, were we not always "caught" being bad? What if we turned it around and caught our students for being GOOD! The awards in this resource are designed to recognize, reinforce, and nurture positive behaviors in the classroom.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FOUR versions of the award are included so that you can customize it to meet the specific needs of your class!

What’s Included:
• 4 blank certificates in color (EDITABLE)
• 4 blank certificates in black and white (EDITABLE)
• 12 colorful certificates with the positive behavior already recorded.
• 12 black and white certificates with the positive behavior already recorded.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here’s how it works: When students demonstrate positive behaviors - academic, personal, or social - I give them an award. On each award I write the student’s name and the positive behavior exemplified. For example: "Kate did not give up, even though the word problem was challenging!”

Awards can be displayed in the classroom, collected in a “Character Journal,” or taken home to share. In my room I like to let my kiddos decorate their award and hang it up on our “Character Counts” bulletin board. When a student earns a new recognition, he or she takes down the first award and replaces it with the new certificate. Students can’t wait to bring home their awards to share with family and friends. My students love sharing their accomplishments and their parents appreciate the specific, anecdotal feedback!
