This fun lesson plan is one I created to teach students the positive power of visual language in their writing. I often tell my students that the words they write should paint a picture in the reader’s mind. This is the perfect lesson so that students quickly will see for themselves how visual language works. The youngest grade I have used this with was 2nd grade and the oldest age group was middle school. It is simple and fun, yet really drives home the point of how visual language can make a huge difference in one’s writing! Enjoy, and I would love it if you would leave feedback telling me what you and your students thought of this lesson!
