The bundle includes five positive reinforcement awards.
The awards can be used several ways. First the awards can be made into
a necklace to be worn by the student. When the positive behavior is ob-
served, the student is rewarded with the award. The student may wear the
necklace for the rest of the day. This award will also reinforce the home/
school connection. The award will invite conversation between the parent
and the child. This will give the child opportunity to reflect on their day
in a positive way. Additionally, the student will be an example for other
students and motivate them to act in positive ways as well.
The awards may be used any way that suits your classroom. Some
Create necklaces. When behavior is observed, immediately give
the child the necklace to wear, keep, and take home.
During student/teacher conferences, acknowledge a behavior that
the student has improved on and award the child.
At the end of the week, possibly as part of Fun Friday, weekly
awards are given out to acknowledge exceptional behavior and
effort that week.
Pick one award that best represents that child’s efforts during that
quarter. Give one award to each child in their report card.
