This lesson is for students to realize that their thoughts create their feelings. When we expect bad things to happen we feel anxious. What we think affects (or controls) how we feel. By being mindful and paying attention to our thoughts, we can change unhelpful thoughts into helpful ones. It is completely NORMAL to have anxious, unhelpful thoughts, and children need to be taught that it's okay.
**There are situational examples for grades K-6.
**This lesson will need to be broken into at least 2 parts for grades K-2.
