PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This project helps students recognize positive and negative slope by connecting slope to things that make them happy (positive) and unhappy (negative). My 8th and 9th graders loved this activity. They will also learn to distinguish slopes that are very negative vs. slopes that are somewhat negative (and positive).

This is great for slope remediation, or for students just learning slope. I have found that negative slope is one of the most difficult concepts for the 13-14 yr old brain - this one-day project helps that!

Students will need a piece of graph paper for this activity!
