Product Description
Every character has a secret...

I did this assignment when students were reading A Tale of Two Cities but it can be adapted for other stories with compelling characters. Students got an introduction to PostSecret in this short Power Point and get the assignment to create a PostSecret from the perspective of one of the characters in their reading. They turned it in without any identifying information on the front.

I got some amazing work. So good, in fact, that I displayed them on the wall (no names or character identification showing) and let students from all classes view them and make guesses about which each PostSecret was. Then I used a couple of great examples on the test.

It was a true testament to their ability to connect with and think deeply about characters and I would totally do this again with other texts.
