Constitution day is September 16th (observed). Celebrate with "The Freedom Painting"
Not only is "The Freedom Painting" an excellent visual aid for the First Amendment, it provides a beautiful representation of Diversity in America. After all, the constitution is for ALL the people.
While the lesson plans, worksheets and vocabulary are probably best suited for the middle grades, all ages will engage with great discussions about the painting, its people and its symbolism.
This program contains the same lesson plans and support materials as the digital version, but is shipped with a 27" x 39" full color poster. The poster is not only a great teaching tool, but when hung in a classroom or hallway, it will generate conversation about diversity and interest in the freedoms of the First Amendment.
