These posters show three steps that will solve an equation with one variable. The first step involves simplifying each side of the equation. The poster beside Step 1 explains what is meant by simplifying each side. If both sides are already in simplified form, move to Step 2. If the variable is only on one side, move to Step 3. Each of the posters on the right side explain what to do to move through the three steps. When the variable is isolated (by itself) the value for the variable is known. The equation is solved.
