This download includes 12 pots of gold (with melodies on them) that pair with 12 Leprechauns (with solfa on them). It also includes a Power Point where students read So and Mi patterns on the staff to help the Leprechaun collect all his coins. The Power Point helps prepare the students for gameplay. I've also included my "Over the Rainbow" folder game.
The game, PowerPoint, and folder game is available in G Major (line) and F Major (spaces) and intended for Kinder/First Grade students who need practice with the pitches So and Mi.
I like to print these out on card stock. laminate them, and store them in a ZipLock bag. My students play in partners.
Once students can match the pairs with the cards facing up, they can turn them over and play with them as a memory game.
For the folder game, glue pages 3 and 4 in the inside of a manila folder. Glue page 1 to the front. Laminate the folder and page 2. Cut out the cards on page 2, place in ZipLock bag, and staple to the folder. These are sturdy and easy for the little ones to use - no problems for me yet anyway!
