Potato Head toys are one of the most useful toys for Early Intervention as they can be used for such a wide range of activities. This listing has been designed to complement some of these activities! 15 pages included.

  • 18 Visuals for requesting potato head body parts + 'more' + 'I want' (1 3/4 Inch size - please print actual size, no scaling) (PECS)
  • Turn taking spinner and visual supports (wait, my turn). Students to take turns spinning the spinner, taking the piece and building their potato heads (Turn Taking).
  • Play dough mat (Fine Motor Skills)
  • Identical matching activity & Non-Identical matching activity. Non-Identical matching includes matching real life photographs to potato head body part images (Visual Discrimination)
  • Identifying/ Locating body part images. Students find the potato head body part and place it onto their potato body, then find the matching image and place it on the laminated page with body part words. (Vocabulary & Visual Discrimination)
  • Function of body parts clip cards (Function of an object)
  • 3x emotions drawing activities (Sad, Happy, Angry) 'Draw a sad potato head' (Emotions).
