PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This lab experiment is directly aligned with NGSS MS-PS3-2 (or 07-PS3-2 if you're in Kentucky).

The lab uses bouncy balls and yard/meter sticks to determine how the positions of two objects change the amount of potential gravitational energy. It guides students through the scientific method, and is complete with graphing and higher-order analysis questions. Your students will learn without even realizing it!

Students will:
• Create a hypothesis based off of an observation and question
• Perform an experiment by following procedures
• Record data
• Synthesize data into a bar graph
• Answer analysis questions based on Bloom's Taxonomy

I also have a magnetic potential energy experiment for this same standard. It is available here: Magnetic Potential Energy Experiment
