Easy lab for 5th and 6th graders!
Students will discover the effect of potential energy on kinetic energy by dropping a bouncy ball from different heights and measuring the rebound height.
Materials: Yard stick taped to walls and bouncy ball (1 ball per every 4 students)

Problem (done), Hypothesis (If, then statement), Variables (blank), Materials (done), Procedure (done), Data Table (set up), Graph (blank), Conclusion and Share of Results with another group (blank)
Great lab! Ability to complete in 55 minute period. Students may need to finish conclusion or graph as homework.
