Toilet Training Reward Charts

For many children learning to use the toilet/potty can be a confusing and overwhelming time. Providing positive praise and rewards for many, is encouraging and spurs them on to keep trying to use the toilet.

For children with additional needs, specifically autistic children, visuals such a Reward Charts helps them to understand the expectation and reasoning behind what they are being asked to do.

I have intentionally created the Reward Charts herein to be clear and precise. I have not included a “Reward Section” as I have found in my personal (as a parent) and professional (as an Autism Consultant) that it can confuse the child who is trying so hard already to understand the expectations and reasoning behind toilet training. If you would like to include a Reward type system you may like to purchase my resource “Toilet Training – First & Then Board”

This resource Packs includes:

3x Toilet Training Reward Charts including a Black and White Version for children who become overwhelmed by colour.

2x Days of the Week Visual Icons to use interchangeably on your chose resource (including a black and white set)

42 Star Tokens you can attach to each square as your child learns to make a wee or poo.

1. Decide upon which Reward Chart you will use.

2. Print and laminate your Reward Chart.

3. Attack hard Velcro coins to each empty square on the chart.

4. Print and laminate one of the Days of the Week/ Star Token Pages

5. Cut out each icon, attach soft Velcro to the rear of each icon.

6. It is ready to use.

I hope your potty training journey goes smoothly.
