### PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

In the following lesson, students learn to write a linear equation in Point-Slope form.

* They are presented with the general formula used with point slope form, and then practice writing equations in this form.

* Students next encounter a graphed line with a point and they figure out the slope either with the formula or by counting grids.

* They proceed into learning to change a linear equation from point slope form to slope-intercept.

* The next challenge is for students to begin to write equations that are parallel to a given equation and running through a given point.

* The lesson concludes with a real-life problem involving scuba diving and the pressure of water per square inch.

* This is a concept that is new to most students and it is lots of fun to teach!
