This 44-page PowerPoint provides a visual overview of the reactions of cellular respiration and photosynthesis. It encourages teachers and students to see the big picture: Why do we breathe oxygen? Why do we eat food? And why do we release urine? It is created as a series of steps that lead students to realize that the process and importance of cellular respiration. This was created for middle school learners, but will work for high school general science classes and may serve as a brief overview/review for high school classes biology classes.
Please note, a FlipChart is also available for this file. This PowerPoint is essentially images - you will not be able to edit individual text areas (because it was converted from flipchart to PDF to PPT). However, you can simply add text boxes over anything you wish to change, delete, edit, etc. Also, this was designed for 7th grade, but I think it can appropriately be used in 5th through 10th depending on your standards. I also used this over the course of three days.
I hope you find this useful and that it saves you time!
