This resource contains my most successful instructional delivery materials for teaching about the Age of Exploration. Materials are designed to correlate with my Interactive Notebook for the Age of Exploration (Discovery). In this PowerPoint bundle you will find the corresponding slide shows for all of the lessons contained in my Interactive Notebook.
I’ve done all the work for you. You will have everything you need right here to hit the ground running. No hours of research and prep time needed. All slide shows are animated and most include video clips. You and your students will find them engaging and informative. Additionally, if there is anything you want to tweak to fit your needs and/or the needs of your student group, that's no problem! All slides are editable.
Even better still, if your school uses GOOGLE Apps for Education, such as GOOGLE Classroom, you now have access to all slide show presentations in GOOGLE Slides!!! It’s perfect for the One-to-One, Flipped, and Digital Classrooms. And don’t worry if your school blocks sites like YouTube. I have even made the videos I have linked downloadable for off-line use.

Q: Do I have to use the Interactive Notebook for the Age of Exploration to use this resource?
A: No. These can stand alone and both you and your students will enjoy the content, even if you are not using Interactive Notebooks. You can also edit, add, and delete any slides if you find they do not fit what you are teaching.
Q: Can I use the PowerPoint in Google Classroom or similar digital classroom?
Q: Do students need a textbook to use these materials?
A: No, a textbook is not required. This unit is designed to be used with or without a textbook or other curriculum. It can be used as a supplement or on its own. Instead of relying on a textbook, students are building their own textbook with their interactive notebooks that include all of the information they need - vocabulary words and definitions, important concepts, and big ideas.
