PowerPoint: Making Singular Nouns Plural is an 8 slide PowerPoint that teaches students various rules about making singular nouns plural. First the PowerPoint explains what a noun is and the difference between a singular noun versus a plural noun. The rest of the slides focus on different rules such as just adding –s, what to do when the word ends in –f or –fe, words that end with vowel then y or consonant then y, and when to add –es to a noun. The PowerPoint also touches on some of the irregular plural nouns. The PowerPoint is controlled by the click of the mouse. Each slide is set up so students will see the singular form of the noun and have time to figure out the plural form. Once the class figures them out, the mouse can be clicked and you can check your answers. This PowerPoint would be good for the end of first grade through third grade.
