This easy to use PowerPoint game, called “Beat The Burst” can be used to practice multiplication facts for elementary and middle school grades. Use this game to review before quizzes and tests. It can also be an engaging way to review before standardized tests. Or, use this game during a teacher observation from your principal/superintendent. The slides contain times table from 0x through 10x, but can be customized to best meet the needs of your students. The game is animated with captivating sounds, such as firework sounds, applause and an entrance theme that will create a fun learning atmosphere in your classroom.
The PowerPoint plays similar to “Hollywood Game Night’s Clue Boom.” Students are separated into heterogeneous teams and will try to “Beat The Burst" by answering multiplication facts as quickly as possible. Fireworks will randomly go off as they are answering (animated automatically in PowerPoint). If the student beats the firework burst, their team gets the point. If not, the opposing team scores. Keep track of the score using the animated scoreboard.
This can be used on SmartBoard, Elmo, or projectors connected to computers in your classroom. Instructions for gameplay are included.
Students will ask to play this game again and again!
