This Powerpoint presentation provides all of the material needed to teach Antonio Machado's poem XXIX from his "Proverbios y cantares" in a Spanish class. The first slides provide historical context and other background information. There are two word association questions that serve as a pre-reading activity. After the poem there are 4 types of activities, progressing from closed questions focusing on vocabulary, grammar, and reading comprehension to open-ended questions of interpretation and discussion. All of the slides are in Spanish, though a few of the more difficult vocabulary words are glossed or illustrated through images.
