Students partner up to spell Spanish words by using their Spanish alphabet skills in random order. Teacher should model this activity by spelling a few Spanish words to the class as a group. Teacher spells pluma or amarillo to see if students can write down the correct spelling. Just cut the paper in half (hot dog style) for person A and B. Have students face each other and keep their paper hidden from their partner. Students must have practiced the Spanish Abecedario for at least 3 class periods/lessons. Excellent 10 minute listening and speaking exercise to engage students. Also could be an introduction to using the dictionary to discover what these Spanish words mean.
