Product Description
Students draw a literal interpretation of each idiom. (For example: "Killing two birds with one stone" would literally be a picture of a person throwing a stone at two birds.) Students then use each idiom in a sentence below, demonstrating their understanding of the idiom's figurative meaning. (For example: "I killed two birds with one stone by cooking dinner and cleaning the kitchen at the same time.") Used with my 7th and 8th grade ELA students.
