Product Description

Included in this worksheet are 25 problems over horizontal and vertical lines. It is separated into 4 parts:

Part 1: Given the equation, identify the slope and graph the line.

Part 2: Given the graph, identify the slope and write the equation.

Part 3: Given the verbal description, graph the line. Then identify the slope and write the equation.

Extension: Given graphs of parabolas and exponential functions, identify the given line (either axis of symmetry or asymptote) and write the equation of the given line.

This worksheet corresponds to the following Texas TEKS:

A.3A: determine the slope given a graph or equation

A.3C: graph linear functions on the coordinate plane

A.2G: write the equation of a line that is parallel or perpendicular to the x or y axis and determine whether the slope is zero or undefined

If you are looking for more practice over horizontal and vertical lines, check out my task cards!
