For those of you who have enjoyed my FREE product--Look in a Book Nouns
-here's another fun, yet effective grammar activity that combines reading practice for students in grades 4-8.
This resource includes adjectives that tell "what kind" and "how many" as well as adjective practice which will reinforce the 3 main questions that adverbs answer: "how" "when" and "where."
Each section is featured with an easy to use chart that can be converted into an interactive notebook.
Students can use this activity with a partner, small group or individually. This can also be a useful activity for small groups and centers.
Teachers can feel free to use this resource for review after a unit on adjectives and adverbs, prepare it for a lesson plan with a substitute teacher or as a homework assignment that will combine reading and grammar close reading skills. This can even be useful for assessments. When combined with my other Look in a Book activities, you can have a full grammar unit at the touch of your fingers that is NO PREP.
You can now save 24% with the popular selling Look in a Book Full Part of Speech Set:
—Part of Speech Bundle Set
Begin the activity with a review on what adjectives do and how they differ from adverbs. Allow students to choose a reading source--leveled books, class magazines, library books, etc. and watch the wonder begin as they use close reading skills to locate the various types of verbs within their chosen reading activity.
