Product Description
This two page handout lists 11 common literary devices students will encounter as they are reading. For each literary device, students are asked to write the definition, provide an example sentence, and draw a picture relating to the sentence as a way to prove they understand it's meaning.

Literary Devices included:
-consonance
-alliteration
-assonance
-hyperbole
-foreshadowing
-tone
-idiom
-metaphor
-onomatopoeia
-personification
-simile

Additionally:
-Tone asks students to list what meaning the tone of their sentence conveys.
-Idiom, metaphor, and simile ask students to explain the meaning of the literary device used.
-Personification ask students to list what object or animal is being personified.
