This worksheet is a short practice using the verb tener. While it involves more mechanical grammar practice than I prefer, I have found this type of practice to be useful for some students. I originally created it for a unit about parties as a supplement of the Realidades textbook, as tener was the target grammar for that unit. However, it could be used for extra practice with tener for any unit. It was originally created for 8th grade Spanish (or Spanish 1), but could be used for review or extra practice for other levels as well. It could be used as a warm-up at the beginning of class, an exit slip, or as homework. If done as an in-class activity, I would recommend circling around the classroom as students are working to get an idea of any common errors, then address them as a whole class. If you have access to a Smart Board or Promethean Board, I recommend scanning the worksheet ahead of time to allow you to pull it up directly on the board and have student volunteers write their answers on the board. If done as homework, I would either collect them and scan for common errors to address as a whole class or go over the whole worksheet together as a whole class. It could also be used as a quiz. As for any of my products, comments and concerns are always welcome. Please notify me if you encounter any errors. I will make revisions and upload a new version as quickly as possible.
