This worksheet is a great way for students to see that a number can be represented in numerous ways. I start by stating a number aloud, and having them write it in standard form on the "number ____" line. The students then write the number in expanded form on the left side, and show the number in a different way on the right side. The kids can be creative, and show this representation in any way that they see fit (unless you have a specific way you would like them to show it). The kids can show the number in written form, drawn using place value materials, addition, subtraction, etc. If you want to have it as an independent assignment, you can type in the numbers beforehand, and have the students work independently on the remaining sections.
